Levitating a frog using diamagnetic levitation

See video

Magnetic levitation can be used to suspend an object or even live animals such as frogs or grasshoppers. This requires a very strong magnetic field in the range of 16 Teslas.

To compare, a strong lab magnet is about 10 Tesla, a typical small bar magnet is around 0.1 Tesla, and the Earth's magnetic field is 0.00005 Tesla.
