The world's first 'open source documentary' by web activist and filmmaker Brett Gaylor, this film explores issues of copyright in the information age. It is a mashup of work from hundreds of different people who have contributed to the Open Source Cinema website. RiP!: A Remix Manifesto won the IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) Audience Award, as well as the Cadillac People’s Choice Award at the Whistler Film Festival, in 2008.
